Greg Howe
For more than three decades, Greg Howe has remained one of the world’s most influential guitarists, earning worldwide recognition for his revolutionary legato technique, “hammer-on from nowhere,” sophisticated harmonic vocabulary, and extraordinary improvisational ability.
His distinctive style has inspired generations of musicians while establishing him as one of the most respected voices in instrumental rock and jazz fusion.
His self-titled debut album was named one of Guitar World magazine’s Greatest Shred Albums of All Time, while his acclaimed 2017 release Wheelhouse was selected among the publication’s Top 20 Best Guitar Albums of the Decade (2010–2019).
Beyond his celebrated solo career, Howe has collaborated with an extraordinary range of artists including Michael Jackson, Simon Phillips, Richie Kotzen, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Jason Becker, Stu Hamm, Marco Minnemann, Eddie Jobson, and many others.
As one of the industry’s premier session guitarists, he has also performed with *NSYNC, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, and numerous major recording artists, appearing on broadcasts including the Grammy Awards, American Music
Awards, The Tonight Show, Today, Billboard Music Awards, and Teen Choice Awards.
Dennis Chambers
Joining Greg Howe is one of the most revered drummers in modern music. For more than four decades, Dennis Chambers has been recognized as one of the most influential and technically accomplished drummers in jazz fusion, funk, and contemporary music. Renowned for his phenomenal speed, impeccable groove, and unmatched musicality, Chambers has recorded and toured with an extraordinary roster of artists including John Scofield, George Duke, Santana, John McLaughlin, Mike Stern, Brecker Brothers, Parliament/Funkadelic, Maceo Parker, CAB, Niacin, and Greg Howe. Chambers’ connection with Howe dates back to 2003, when he joined Howe and bassist Victor Wooten for the acclaimed instrumental album Extraction, released through Tone Center/Shrapnel Records. A drumming prodigy, Chambers began playing at the age of four and was performing professionally by six. At just eighteen, he joined the legendary Parliament/Funkadelic before becoming one of the most sought-after drummers in contemporary music. His remarkable ability to combine explosive power with deep pocket and sophisticated rhythmic vocabulary has made him a benchmark for generations of drummers worldwide. His reputation extends far beyond the fusion community. Before Led Zeppelin’s historic 2007 reunion concert, Jason Bonham was asked who could fill his father’s legendary position
behind the drum kit. His answer was immediate: “Dennis Chambers. I think he would get it.” It remains one of the highest compliments a drummer can receive and reflects Chambers’ standing among the greatest musicians of his generation. Today, Dennis Chambers continues to perform internationally while remaining one of the world’s most respected clinicians, educators, and recording artists, inspiring audiences and
drummers alike with every performance.
Jon Reshard
American bassist and composer Jon Reshard brings a particularly significant connection to Greg Howe’s music to the Extraction tour.
Reshard’s longstanding musical relationship with Howe began in 2003 and led to his featured performance on Howe’s acclaimed 2008 album Sound Proof for Tone Center/Shrapnel Records. That history gives Reshard a unique familiarity with Howe’s musical vocabulary and approach—making his role on this tour a continuation of an established musical partnership rather than simply a replacement in the bass chair.
A member of the progressive rock band Vigilant, Reshard is known for his melodic, harmony-driven playing style and distinctive custom half-fretted, half-fretless bass. In addition to releasing two solo instrumental albums, 22 and Jon Reshard, he has earned recognition for his innovative approach to the instrument, including a NoTreble nomination for his bass arrangement of Billy Joel’s “She’s Always a Woman.” Reshard has continued to build an acclaimed career through collaborations with artists including Dave Weckl, Tony Royster Jr., Thomas Pridgen, Morris Hayes, and Prince, bringing a unique blend of technical precision, musicality, and versatility to every project.
In 2024, Reshard joined global K-pop sensation Stray Kids as bassist for the group’s DominATE World Tour, performing in more than 40 cities worldwide. His extensive international touring experience and deep roots in progressive and fusion music make him a natural fit for Greg Howe’s upcoming tour.
Marco Corcione
Italian pianist, keyboardist, arranger, and composer Marco Corcione is an accomplished and versatile musician whose work bridges jazz, rock, and contemporary music. With a career spanning more than two decades, he has established himself both as a performer
and as an innovative music educator. He has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Carl Verheyen and Paul Warren (Rod Stewart), and appeared on prime-time television on RAI 1.
As a composer and producer, his works span film, international releases, and independent projects. Notably, his track “Meaningless” was featured in the soundtrack of the film La tenerezza by Gianni Amelio (RAI Cinema).
Corcione’s addition to the lineup represents another important element of this tour’s musical identity. With Howe returning to the road with a keyboardist for the first time in many years, audiences can expect an expanded harmonic palette and greater possibilities for interplay
and improvisation within Howe’s compositions.
